Real Imaginings at the Parkway Theater!

Join us at the Parkway Theater for Reel Imaginings, a presentation of short films created by MotionArt director/choreographer Pam Gleason in collaboration with cinematographers Guy Wagner, Nate Gebhard, Adam Tapper, and the many multi-generational movers of MotionArt! Whether exploring humor in the mundane, suspending disbelief in unfolding absurdities, or meandering down a waterway, these short films offer a fun and captivating viewing experience for people of all ages.

Sunday, December 29th

- 4 pm – Doors open
- 5 pm – Films: Evergreen, Last Chance, Currents, Afloat
  (Total film time – approx 75 min)
- Social hour/meet and greet the artists following the films.
- Snacks and beverages available for purchase at Parkway’s concession and full bar.

Free on-street parking. There is also a small lot across the street. (8-9 spaces) that fills up quickly.

Our classes are held in the Center for Performing Arts in Minneapolis (3754 Pleasant Ave South)

You may also take class virtually on Saturdays (hybrid class) or on Tuesdays (Zoom only). See below.

How to sign up and pay for a class:

STEP 1: In the contact us box below, please mention which class you would like to sign up for, and click send. We’ll send you pertinent information about the class. For Zoom classes you will receive a Zoom invite via email within one hour prior to class start time.

STEP 2: Click on this link — PayPal.me/MotionArt to submit your payment. Adult classes are $15.00, children’s classes are $10 per class.

4 Adult Class Package – $55 / 8 Adult Class Package – $110

Paying the regular rate helps keep our organization afloat; however, there is an option to pay what you can. No one will be turned away for inability to pay.

Join us on the first Friday of every month for Improv Gatherings!

Held on the first Friday of every month, this event is open to all ages and levels of ability. We improvise together based on movement ideas offered by individuals in the group. As movers dance, participants practice remaining present in the moment, responding to other dancers, finding new ways of moving, and discovering form as it emerges.
